In case you are unaware, shortly after the Brexit campaign and votes, when the results came in, there was a massive increase in the reports of hate crimes, racist comments and actions against people’s of other cultures that should not be tolerated in any situation. Therefore the action of wearing a safety pin is a message that is rapidly catching on and people are being urged to wear one to support the cause against racism, and show others that you will not put up with it, and that they are safe.
